When you marry into a family that has 11 letters in their last name, it's quite an undertaking (especially when I used to be just plain old Nelson). It took me 4 months before I could say my last name without getting marble mouthed. I couldn't believe how long it took me to sign my name on a check at the grocery store. ;) But...
...it was well worth it to marry into a group of such good men. Max is a true bartholomew man, he has quick wit and isn't afraid of acting goofy (well most of the time) and is very thoughtful and kind to me, his dear old mom.
These pictures crack me up! Grandma Kathy (Bartholomew) made each of us our own bag full of goodies. She got each of the boys in the family matching shirts (pictured above)...
...and us Bartholomew girls got beautiful handmade necklaces and anklets (below). She was so prepared on this trip, I think should teach a class about how to travel with children and families. Thank you!!!
The B.B. stands for Brooke Bartholomew (a mouthful, I know). "Bibelot" was a tribute to the years I lived in France. Over a decade ago I began this blog because I was going to boutique shows and selling my homemade baby blankets, burp cloths and Mommy & Me crystal bracelets. After a few years of trying the boutique'ing scene I closed shop, but kept the blog. It was fun to have a place to share all of my random projects. Liz Stanley (Say Yes) and Susan Petersen (Freshly Picked) are the two gals who introduced me to the joys of blogging over a decade ago in the Avenues, SLC. It was fun to be a part of the entire process, their skill and creativity left me in awe and inspired this blog. Currently, this blog is a mod-podge of craft projects, home improvement projects, random opinions and soap box moments. This blog seems to change along with the various changes of our family life, but there will always be a craft or home improvement project sprinkled in here somewhere because I love a good project.
