As I was browsing some of my favorite graphic design blogs I found these free printables here at How about orange who found them here at Download & Print.

We had this weird ivy patch in our front yard, I think it was intended for decoration. We dug up the ivy and will place weed barrier, bark and perennials in here.

I must say, after moving from Salt Lake City it is much more fun to go into the "city". We had a wonderful weekend with our Idaho family. We had the "troops" helping us fix up and clean up our front and back yard. I can't wait to download the pictures and see all that we did. I am so amazed at the progress we all made and how hard everyone worked.

I don't know what these trees are called so my kids and I call it our "pop corn popping tree"! I am loving it. The blossoms are just beautiful and it makes me happy every time I look at our back/side yard and see it.

In lieu of Spring my mom came over last Friday and took me to this amazing nursery called J & J Garden Center. It is located in Layton, if any of you are in that direction it would be well worth a look-see.

We moved into a 1940's house and even though they have updated it since then it still looks dated. All the brass and gold'ish accents were driving me crazy. I didn't want to buy new hardware just yet so I decided to buy a $7 can of "oil rubbed bronze" spray paint at Home depot.

As I am Summer shopping for the kids I can't help but fall in love with some of the girl clothes. I usually buy my clothes for the kids from Gymboree or Crazy8. They are high quality clothing and if you are patient you can usually get things 70% off the original price. (the above outfit isn't marked low enough for me to buy just yet). But I love it and patiently watch the mark downs.

Okay I am dying here, my friend and neighbor, MaryElla's sister painted her daughters room and here is the before and after! Oh my goodness. To see more of Jane's whimsical room go here.

I am trying to convince Steve to let me paint similar designs on our playroom wall. Our playroom is brown with muted earth tone accents and I just think it needs something a little fun. Especially if we are going to be stuck indoors all day because Spring has decided to skip Utah this year.

Steve celebrated his birthday last Saturday the 10th. He is now 34 years old. Wow we are old, but still young at the same time. ;) We are in that in-between stage in life. heck, if we live to be 80 we aren't even half way there yet, so...yep, we're young! I made him the famous Nelson Cake (above). Yum....

Aren't these soooo clever? My friend and neighbor, we'll call her "MaryElla" has a son who is in Max's kindergarten class. Well, last Friday she made the sound treat (that is a treat that begins with the letter they are learning about that week). The letter the kids learned last week was E so she made these bacon & Eggs.

I have looked at a blog called vintage mixer often, they do reviews about SLC (and other) restaurants. I love the title and it is one that sticks in your brain, so when I went to my mom's house I saw her real vintage mixer and thought I need to take a pic of that.
