Okay, here are just a few pictures and comments on this GENIUS and hilarious site...if you are like me and have a healthy dose of sarcasm in you, you'll appreciate this. Oh, and thanks Camille!!!

These tabletops decor ideas are from Better Homes & Gardens. I especially love the silver and vintage gold pieces that are becoming quite popular for Holiday decor this year.

The above candle holders are from Pottery Barn Thanksgiving collection and I think they are just beautiful.

This is my view as I drive Max to school each morning. It is spectacular. I am so grateful to live in such a quiet and beautiful area. The house and mountains above are off to the right side of the road and I can't help but feel good each time I turn the bend in the road and see this amazing view.

WELL...it FINALLY happened!!!! As I was looking at piles of other people's somewhat stinky, stale and dusty junk I saw some rugs tossed in the corner.

But because I regularly look at and daydream of owning a really expensive Persian rug, I kinda know what nice rugs look like, even from the back. I saw this rug and thought right away it looked like it had the potential to be nice. So I took it off the shelf and rolled it out only to find, A. it was in MINT condition and B. there was another one right behind it. They were marked $5 a piece! I scooped them up, paid for them and RAN out the door before they realized what just happened.

Well these are Beluchi rugs. They are about 3 feet x 4 feet, made in Belgium!!! I looked them up online and for a rug similar to this would cost around $280...for just one of them!!! Now I have 2! I am elated and all my trips to the stinky dusty smelling DI have paid off and convinced me that no matter what, I will NEVER stop perusing the isles of the DI.

I drew and painted this tree on Mimi's wall in her bedroom. It wasn't difficult nor is the design too intricate...but I think it turned out pretty.

I used a lot of different ideas from other people's designs and put together what I liked. I wanted it look more whimsical than symmetrical.

(Mimi insisted on that "crown" hook be placed on the trunk of the tree...then she tried hanging from it and it broke, but I am too lazy to take it down and patch and paint the hole in the wall.)

It was fun putting together Mimi's room. I have a lot more pictures I need to take, but these'll do for now.

Below is a picture of Max and Mimi goofing around in Mimi's room. I find it highly ironic that we moved into a 4 bedroom home only to have all of our kids beg us to sleep in the same room together. So each night, Max sleeps on Mimi's trundle and Henry is in his crib on the other side of the room! Ha! Who says they all have to have their own room?

But I do think it is funny that there are 2 boys and 1 girl in an all pink-very feminine bedroom together.

I added on the words with felt circles and alphabet stickers. I then sewed them on by hand so that they could be removed easily and use just the flag as decor in the nursery. Hope-hope-hope she likes it!
