Happy Easter 2012.

Henry made the yummy bunny above (he also made those 2 finger marks in the frosting). ;)

My mom made a dozen half circled mini lemon poppyseed cakes.

We added colored frosting, paper ears and jelly beans for eyes and a nose, et voila...it's a bunny!

Mimi made the one above, of course, it's pink. ;)

I know this is a little late, but it may be a good idea for next year. My inspiration for making Easter cards this year came from good ole' Martha. She made some really cute egg cards with oval cutouts and a patterend piece of fabric. You can find them here. So cute.

(I bought my 5x7 cards at Michaels with a 40% off coupon, $3 for 12 cards and envelopes).

I cut out the shape with a craft knife, bought at any craft store or store that sells crafting supplies.

When you turned the card around, I had our Easter picture and a little "love You".

As my son would say, "easy peasy lemon squeezy, stick a pickle up your nose" ???? No need to do the later. ;)

This is Steve and I being silly while eating Easter dinner in my parent's home 8 years ago when we were first married.

We look so young, and much to my delight we have not lost our sense of humor. We just look a little softer around the middle and a lot more tired. (below are 3 reasons why)

I figure one of these years I will find the time, energy and drive to make at least one of the darling Easter DIY projects below. I think I may have to wait until I get more than 4-5 hours of sleep at night. ;)

I have had blue and white on the brain lately. I still love it. And it took about the 10th time looking at this months issue of Martha Stewart to realize she has dedicated April 2011 to blue and white.

(ps My friend has decided to take this color scheme to her bedroom. I may copy that idea...you know what they say, "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery")

It makes me chuckle a little when someone 'owns' a style or decorating idea because how can you own style and why would you want to?

If you are innovative enough to change the way people design their lives then take it as a compliment.

Martha Stewart is a great example of this. We all "copy" Martha in way or another. Right? Seriously, what would we do without Martha? Below are just a few of her wonderful Easter ideas.
